PARISH COUNCIL VACANCY

A vacancy has arisen for the position of Councillor on Elford Parish Council. If you are interested in applying then

· You will need to put your request for consideration in writing stating your reason for wishing to be a councillor, previous community/council work, and any other skills you can bring to the Council. Please note it will be a condition of membership that a means of contact by telephone and/or e-mail will be public information.

All applications must be received by the Clerk, no later than Monday 15 December 2008

Elections for Parish Council are held every four years – the next one being due in 2011. Should a vacancy arise before an election, the vacancy must be publicly advertised to see if a poll is requested which would result in an election. Should no poll be requested a new Councillor co-opted on.
